Dance Beyond Sight.
It is an interdisciplinary cooperative projects held by East London Dance Creative Lab. Dancers, costume designers and creative technologists are working together to explore how wearable technology will empower the dance performance and experience in the future.
Within this project Dance Beyond Sight, I worked with Max Percy, a talented ballet dancer, to do experiments using motion capture camera, vibration sensor and microcontroller to transfer dance (body movement) into touch sense and to expand the forms of audience watching dance, so that people with visual impairment can also experience the fun and beauty brought by dance.
The project has been published on 2022MOCO (the International Conference on Movement and Computing) in Chicago and has won the Creative Lab Funding granted by London College of Fashion.
